The Church of the Assumption’s Social Concerns

The Church of the Assumption’s Social Concerns is an active ministry formed to respond to the needs of our society. We are called to act in response to the physical and spiritual needs of our Parish Family and of those in our neighboring communities. We meet on the third Monday of the month from September through June at 7:00 pm at the Roncalli House. If you wish to contact us and/or be involve, please call Connie Luppino at 203-852-9937 or via email at connieluppino@optonline.net.

A special shout out to the Church of the Assumption “Ladies of the Ladle”: Michele Harding, Mary Welsch-Lehman, Katya Lebrija, Marilyn Moran and Dolores Bacharach.

On Dan Woog’s local blog“06880 Where Westport Meets the World,” longtime president and CEO of Homes with Hope, Jeff Wieser recently wrote about some “unsung heroes” – in particular some Church of the Assumption parishioners who volunteer monthly at the Gillespie Center.
