Monthly Reflection
Speak or Not to Speak
One common human tendency is to talk excessively and to explain ourselves to
others, especially to justify our actions in their minds. Jesus experienced this to
the greatest degree as He stood before Pilate, He remained silent.
Remaining silent, at times, will produce more good fruit than an excess of words.

Goals for Our
Westport Council
– Build the number of Knight members; give Catholic Men an opportunity to serve others and to achieve the amazing feeling of happiness and satisfaction when giving. When we allow time to help others our time is Blessed.
– Increase community involvement in our church; offer a space and environment to grow the Catholic faith within our community.
– Help those in need; provide food, clothing, financial support, and kindness.
Knights History
and Heritage
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church New Haven, Ct. and a group of parishioners. Their intent is to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
Today, Father McGivney is being considered for Sainthood.
