Pope Francis Food Closet

In 1990, when Sister Alphonsine of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, then affiliated with our parish, began helping a family with their food needs, she couldn’t know it would be the beginning of what we now know as the Pope Francis Food Closet. The service has grown in the intervening years to presently helping around 25 families on a monthly basis. In addition to food, we provide them with food certificates to help purchase the perishables which we cannot stock for them.

Over the years we have helped many families to overcome difficult periods in their lives, i.e., loss of jobs, family illness, inadequate or poor housing, to name a few. With the always generous and caring support of our parishioners, we need only ask and we receive—both food and monetary donations. When we give to those in need, we give to God.  All food donations can be dropped off in McGrath Hall located beneath the Church.  Thank you for your generosity!
