Dear Parish Family,
The parable this weekend reminds us that when we pray, we must remember our need for God in our lives. If we are too full of ourselves, there is too little room for God’s grace to work in us. Let us not be like the Pharisee who had no need for God and be more like the tax collector who knows he needs God and prays, God, be merciful to me, a sinner.
Please keep all students in your prayers. They will take part in a retreat as they continue their preparation for Confirmation in the spring. They will be gathering next Sunday here at Assumption with St. Francis students joining.
