Pastor’s Message: May 14, 2023

Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! Happy Easter!

Dear Parish Family,

In the Gospel Jesus is speaking to his disciples at the Last Supper telling them he will soon be crucified. He reassures them that even though he will leave them, he will not abandon them. Instead, he will send them the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, through whom the disciples will continue to live in union with him.

It is important for us to build and maintain a close relationship with God through prayer, the sacraments, and communion with one another. This way we can work towards the unity that Jesus prayed for.

This weekend we also celebrate Mother’s Day. We can’t help but smile as we think of moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, mothers-in-law, godmothers, and all who share motherly love. It might also bring a tear or two as we recall the memories of dear mothers who are no longer with us, or those we have not seen in many months or even years.

Wherever we are we can be comforted and uplifted by the thought of the one beautiful Mother, standing by the Cross of her Son, accepting her role as mother of us all. How can we best honor our moms? By listening to the words of our heavenly Mother, who tells us, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5)

Blessing as we continue our journey through these fifty days of Easter.

Pastor’s Message: April 30, 2023

Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! Happy Easter!

Dear Parish Family,

The Gospel this weekend makes clear that those who follow the Good Shepherd, the Gate, will know life in abundance.

Jesus is our path to all that is good and real. It is through him that we enter safety and rest. Jesus serves as our protection, because he has conquered those evil forces in the world that would wish us harm.

Jesus is telling us that those who come to believe in him and hear his voice, that he, the Good Shepheard, the Gate, leads us to true salvation.

Blessing as we continue our journey through these fifty days of Easter.

Pastor’s Message: April 16, 2023

Dear Parish Family,

Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! Happy Easter!

Dear Parish Family,

In the gospel this weekend we see the disciples gathered together in a room, afraid and unsure of what to do next. When Jesus appears to them, he offers them peace and reassurance, showing them his wounds and forgiving them for abandoning him. Jesus shows mercy to Thomas, even in his doubts. After the Resurrection, Our Lord spent forty days on earth, consoling His disciples, clarifying His teaching, and preparing them to receive the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Through his death and resurrection, Jesus offers us the gift of new life and the hope of eternal salvation. Like Thomas, we may struggle with doubt and uncertainty, but through faith and trust in Jesus, we can experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing the risen Christ

This remind us that we are not meant to live out our faith alone, but rather in community with other believers. We are called to be there for each other in times of doubt and fear, to offer support and encouragement, and to share in the joys and struggles of life together. Through our relationships with one another, we can bear witness to the love of Christ and grow in our own faith.

I  would like to thank all who helped make our Holy Week and Easter celebrations so beautiful. Your service to our parish is greatly appreciated.

Blessings as we journey throughout these 50 days of Easter,

Pastor’s Message: April 9, 2023

Dear Parish Family,

Our long Lenten wait is over! Easter has come again! We raise our voices in singing, Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! Happy Easter!

What a joy it is to gather together this Easter as the family of God in celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

This weekend we begin the 50 days of the Easter Season. The Gospel tells us about the disciples’ discovery of the empty tomb. They did not yet understand that Jesus had risen from the dead. We are invited to reflect upon a most amazing gift of faith in Jesus and his Resurrection.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone as we celebrate the beautiful gift of life that God has blessed each of us with.  It is important to gather as a faith community to remember and celebrate what God has done for us

May the blessings and joy of the Easter Season fill your hearts and homes with peace, and love.

Pastor’s Message: March 31, 2023

Dear Parish Family,

This weekend we will celebrate Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We begin the greatest week of the liturgical year, HOLY WEEK. In this week, we recall the chief Mysteries of our Faith and we reflect on the words and works of the Lord in his last days on earth.

The Lenten season of sacrifice and self-denial is about to come to an end, but this coming week is extremely important for all of us. As we enter Holy Week the greatest focus of the week is the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the events that led up to it.

I would like to extend a warm invitation to you to join us for the many services we are offering for Holy week and Easter Sunday

Please check our Holy Week Schedule and note the Mass times for Easter Sunday.

God Bless you as we journey into Holy Week.
