As we begin this new year of Faith Formation, please be assured that the staff at Church of the Assumption Parish and the catechists in our program are dedicated to helping your children grow in our Catholic faith and draw closer to God. As parents, you are the primary educators of your children and are their best teachers in the faith. Your children learn the most from the example you set when you pray together and actively participate in Mass and the sacraments as a family. We strive to support you in your ministry as you work at home in developing a love of Christ and His Church.

New students must submit a baptismal certificate at the time of registration. Our formation classes are continuous and build one year upon the next. Sacramental preparation: Grade 1 is required for Grade 2 in which the children are prepared for First Reconciliation and Eucharist. Grades 3 through 7 are required for Grade 8 Confirmation preparation. Students enrolled in a Catholic school must attend First Eucharist and Confirmation classes here at Assumption Church.

The RE office is open 9am to 4pm Monday through Thursday and during the school year Sundays 8am to 12 noon. We follow the Westport Public School calendar for holidays and school vacations.
