As we gather at Mass this weekend we offer our prayers in thanksgiving for the gift of the Eucharist which sustains us to eternal life, to our Blessed Mother, and for our own mothers who gave us the gift of life and love. May is a month dedicated in a special way to the the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord, and the Mother of us all.
On Mother’s Day we can’t help but smile as we think of all who shared their motherly love with us. It might also bring a tear or two as we recall the memories of dear mothers who are no longer with us.
Wherever we are this Mother’s Day, we can be comforted and uplifted by the thought of the one beautiful Mother, standing by the Cross of her Son, accepting her role as mother of us all.
How can we best honor our moms? By listening to the words of our heavenly Mother, who tells us, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5)
This Sunday, our First Holy Communion is a celebration for the whole community at our regular 9am and 11am Masses.
The students are excited to share not only with their families, but with everyone in the parish. Join us as we celebrate our community’s youngest members, through this beautiful sign of unity.
Our First Communion children will join in procession to crown the Blessed Virgin Mary statue during the11:00am Mass.
