Dear Parish Family,
On August 9, after arriving from Lourdes, France, I checked my mail. In my mail, there was a small package from the Archdiocese of Oklahoma. Before I left, I wrote a letter to Archbishop Paul Coakley (who was a former Spiritual Director of Mt. St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD, which Fr. Augustine and I attended) to ask for some information and maybe a relic of Blessed Stanley Rother (who was a graduate from the same seminary).

The archbishop gave our parish a First-Class relic of the future saint. He said in the letter, “The enclosed relic is our gift… It is entrusted to your care to foster devotion to Blessed Stanley and ought to be used for public veneration, not a merely for personal devotion.”

The archbishop also requested, “Please report any favors received through the intercession of Blessed Stanley to the registry found on BlessedStanleyRother.org.” With this, I invite you to look at the life of Blessed Stanley and learn his heroic life of faith and his missionary zeal for the Gospel. In a few days I will display the picture and relic of Blessed Stanley in our church.

I ask you, my brothers and sisters, to foster a devotion to him. May this American priest and martyr intercede for us and for our parish!
