Dear Parish Family,

In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus asks His disciples a question that He continues to ask each of us: “Who do you say that I am?” Peter responds with faith, proclaiming Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus then entrusts Peter with the responsibility of leading His Church.

Jesus' question is not only about what we know about Him, but about who He is in our own lives. Our faith invites us to move beyond just knowing about Jesus and to develop a personal relationship with Him.

When we recognize Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are called to let that relationship shape the way we live, love, serve, and share our faith with others. May we have the courage to answer Jesus' question with our lives as well as our words.

We hear Jesus’s question directed to each one of us: “And you, who do you say I am? It is a question of giving not a theoretical answer, but one that involves faith, that is, life, because faith is life!  Pope Francis
