Dear Parish Family,
Dear Parish Family,
This weekend, Jesus delivers a powerful message. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind," and "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus teaches that these two commands hold all of God’s law and all the words of the prophets. They are our guide for Christian living.
Loving God with all our heart means placing Him first. Loving Him with all our soul means trusting Him completely. Loving Him with all our mind means seeking His truth and allowing His Word to guide our decisions.
Today, many people who are abandoned, lonely, or marginalized. The immigrant, the elderly, the poor, the sick, and those who suffer silently are all our neighbors. Jesus challenges us not only to notice them but to love them actively.
In the end, we will not be judged by our success, our wealth, or our status. We will be judged by love: how faithfully we loved God and how generously we loved our neighbors.
As we gather around the altar today, let us ask the Lord to teach us to love Him more deeply and to see His face in our neighbor.
God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
