Several weeks ago, a pastoral decision was made by Fr. Cyrus and Dn. Bill to attempt to reach out to all parishioners as the State-mandated pandemic lockdown has continued. To date, as of mid-May, our clergy has called close to 300 families with positive results. The intention of these calls is to make sure our parishioners are safe, well and to let them know they are being prayed for.

This social connection project has revealed interesting comments.  Many of our parishioners said they were safe and thankful for the call. They expressed how they are grateful that God is “keeping them safe.” They all spoke of missing Mass and the sacraments but for the most part, “attending Mass” by viewing our parish live-streaming Masses or watching other TV Masses on EWTN or from other sources. Parishioners expressed their hope that someday, our church will be fully open soon but understand the several partial opening phases of worship would be a very good start.
