Pastor’s Message: March 26, 2021

Dear Parishioners,
This weekend we will celebrate Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This year we will be at Mass, holding palm branches.
I would like to extend a warm invitation to you to join us for the many services we are offering for Holy week and Easter Sunday
Please check our Holy Week Schedule and note the Mass times for Easter Sunday. We have added extra Masses for those who wish to come in person may do so.
My Sincere Thanks
Last weekend we began our celebration as part of the Year of St. Joseph. Our parish along with Bishop Caggiano, and all parishes. throughout the diocese celebrated the consecration Mass for the protection and intercession of St. Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church. After Mass enjoyed a coffee and Zepole reception in McGrath Hall. I would like to thank, Fr. Justin Cinnante, and Deacon Bill Koniers for assisting me at the Mass. Thank you to Walter Avitabile for getting the authentic Zepole from Little Italy in the Bronx.
Also on Saturday a thank you to Sister Mary Catherine, General Superior, at Marycrest from Brooklyn who lead the day, along with the Sisters of the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate who led the parish in a “Lenten Day of Prayer”.
On Sunday, following the 4:30pm Mass, we continued the celebration outdoors with a delicious meal provided by JR’s Deli. The weather was perfect, our parishioners and friends had a wonderful evening. Thank you to Cathy Romano, Michelle Harding, Nancy Curcio, Michelle Hankey, who planned the event, Frank Matto, who provided music, throughout the weekend, JR’s for their superb catering, our Youth Group and Knights of Columbus for their help serving food and cleaning up. Thank you our bakers: Dolly Perce, Judy Barry, Beverly Valiante, Linda DeMeglio, Filomena Carusone and Sam Seidman who baked amazing Italian desserts.
God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
