Pastor’s Message: May 7, 2021

Christ is Risen!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Happy Easter!
Dear Parish Family,
As we gather to celebrate the Eucharist this weekend we hear the message of Jesus, “This I command you: Love one another”.
We offer our prayers in thanksgiving to our Blessed Mother, for our own mothers who gave us the gift of life and love, and for the gift of the Eucharist which sustains us to eternal life.
On Mother’s Day we can’t help but smile as we think of moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, mothers-in-law, godmothers, and all who share motherly love. It might also bring a tear or two as we recall the memories of dear mothers who are no longer with us, or those we have not seen in many months or even years. Wherever we are this Mother’s Day, we can be comforted and uplifted by the thought of the one beautiful Mother, standing by the Cross of her Son, accepting her role as mother of us all. How can we best honor our moms? By listening to the words of our heavenly Mother, who tells us, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5)
May, is a month dedicated in a special way to the Mother of Our Lord, and the Mother of us all, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Our First Communion children will join in procession to crown the Blessed Virgin Mary statue during the 9:00am Mass. Please join us at the Mass of your choice this weekend as we bless and celebrate all mothers.
The loveliest masterpiece of the heart of God is the love of a mother. – St. Thérèse of Lisieux
God Bless,
