Pastor’s Message: September 24, 2021

Dear Parish Family,
This weekend the Serra Club is celebrating Priesthood Sunday.
The Serra Club is an organization that was formed in 1935 by a small group of lay people in Seattle who decided to form an organization to promote and foster vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. As a result, they chose Father Junipero Serra, the great missionary, as their patron and named the organization SERRA Club of Seattle.
Serrans are lay Catholics found around the world. They are men and women of all ages and from all walks of life. Serrans are dedicated Catholics who pray for the increase and perseverance of vocations to the Priesthood and the Religious Life.
Let us also pray for vocations this Sunday and always.
Lord Jesus, you called chosen men to be with you; to preach the good news of salvation and to have authority over the powers of darkness. Send your Holy Spirit upon the men you have chosen for the priestly ministry. May they answer your call and follow you with generous hearts.
We ask you to bless our diocese and our world with many priests who will love you fervently, and gladly and courageously spend their lives in service the Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Amen
God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
