Pastor’s Message: May 20, 2022

Dear Parish Family,
Christ is Risen!   Alleluia! Alleluia!

Happy Easter!

In the Gospel today Jesus tells his disciples that he will be going away. However, he will not be leaving them alone. Jesus promises them that in his absence, an Advocate – the Holy Spirit – will be coming to them to teach and remind them of all that he has said to them.
Jesus also tells his disciples, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you,” and “Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”
As our celebration of the Easter season is coming to an end (June 5th). We are reminded that Jesus remains with us through the Holy Spirit, who teaches us everything we need to know.
Each morning, when we wake up, ask the Holy Spirit to direct and show you the best way to proceed by praying this prayer.
Father, we thank you for the Holy Spirit who guides us and calms our fears. May no circumstance, trouble, or anxiety rob us of the peace which surpasses all understanding! May we always reside in your peace by believing your word and by doing your will! Amen.
May the coming of the Holy Spirit bring us renewed freshness in our following of Jesus.
Peace be with you!
God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
