Pastor’s Message: July 1, 2022

Dear Parish Family,
In the Gospel this weekend we hear Jesus calling the seventy-two. The call of Jesus to the seventy-two is His call to us also.
Jesus wants us to become His partners in His ministry of evangelization.
Jesus is asking us to go and preach the Good News those around us. We are to be bold and faithful as the disciples were. We are to speak to people about sin, repentance, and the Kingdom of God.
“I am convinced that there is a great need for the whole Church to rediscover the joy of evangelization, to become a community inspired with missionary zeal to make Jesus better known and loved.” – Pope Benedict XVI
This Monday is the Fourth of July, Independence Day. it marks the day the United States officially became its own nation. The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th, 1776—and America was born. As we celebrate America’s birthday with festivals, parades, fireworks, barbecues etc. Let us pray in thanksgiving for our freedoms, in solidarity with those who fight for justice, and for conversion of the oppressors.
I wish everyone a wonderful and safe 4th of July
God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
