Pastor’s Message: November 20, 2022

Dear Parish Family,

This weekend we conclude our liturgical year and celebrate the Feast of Christ the King. It celebrates Christ’s messianic kingship and sovereign rule over all creation.

Jesus came to give us eternal life with him through his death and resurrection.

We are reminded of Jesus Christ’s eternal authority over the world, as it is the only kind of authority that is not temporal and fleeting. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops simplifies the solemn day as a reminder that while governments come and go, Christ reigns as King forever.  “My kingdom is not of this world…But now my kingdom is of another place.” (John 18:36)

God Bless,
Fr. Cyrus
