Our Parish of the Assumption Live-Streaming Liturgies
Have Been Tremendously Successful!
We sincerely thank you for so many parishioners keeping connected via the internet to watch the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and other liturgies during this pandemic. It’s not like being in church in person of course, but Our Lord must surely be very pleased at the efforts being made to “join in” the celebration of the Mass. Remember that we are still being fed by the Liturgy of the Word including our readings from sacred scripture, our homilies and the Spiritual Communion Prayer.
We are Live Streaming Masses!
Daily Masses Monday – Friday at 7:00 a.m.
Saturday Vigil at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday Masses 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon
Father Cyrus and Deacon Bill are now analyzing a report just received from our outside IT vendor and the results are very encouraging. During this past Sunday for example, (4/26) there were 300+ parishioner devices using laptop computers, iPads and even cell phones to view just the 9:00 AM Mass alone either live or the recording at a time convenient to them later in the day.
On weekday mornings, we have noticed an average of 50-60 parishioners joining in the celebration of the Mass.
We hope that everyone “gets the word out” to let their fellow parishioners know that this new technology is available to everyone who has access to a desk top computer, a lap top, iPads and even smart telephones. During our most recent 30- day period, there were 4,370 “clicks” recorded by people seeking information on our live-streaming Mass schedule. Over time, this result will continue to grow.
Another benefit of this live streaming Masses is that more and more parishioners are spending more time viewing our Parish Website. There has been a tremendous spike in viewing traffic since the outbreak of this most unfortunate pandemic. This website contains so much valuable information about our Assumption Parish as we try to keep everyone informed of current and future events.
